Since I completed two different internships, I will make this into two parts.
My internship with David Dibble was a very eye-opening experience that taught me a lot about the process of shooting a film, and I was not quite as prepared for that as I thought I was.

After my project with David Dibble was complete, Janae Hunderman, the mind behind the LINK program, offered me a project. Essentially, I would be filming interviews with other students who were in progress with their internships, gathering footage of them working with their mentors. From then, I would edit them into short advertisements for internships under a minute long, and I needed three of them. As of May, I have completed all 3.

Due to COVID, internships did not go exactly as planned. I did not end up doing mine during April-May of 2020, as everything was shut down. In August, I received an email from David Dibble as he had recently watched a short film I made for Humanities class at the end of junior year, and he was interested in having me intern with him throughout September. The project was a music video for Cheval Shepard titled "Just Like the Circus". By the end of the project, I had only gotten 45 of the required 90 hours.

I got into contact with Drew at Illuminarts, and we've been discussing what I should do for my project during the internship. He also told me to learn more about my camera, and I've been doing that. My next step in this process is to secure an internship with Drew.
LINK Internship update 11/5
Internships have been going well. I am looking into an internship in the cluster of film, and I recently emailed David Dibble. He got back to me, and unfortunately he is unable to offer an internship for the time period available. My next course of action is to contact Illuminarts.
